Event modes (lifecycle)

Event modes (lifecycle)

Events move through a number of modes throughout their lifecycle. It helps to understand the different event modes and the functionality available in each mode:
  1. Scheduled
  2. Rehearsal
  3. Live
  4. Complete

Scheduled

The event has been created.
  1. You can update settings and branding.
  2. Attendees can register for your event.
  3. You can manage manage attendee registration.
  4. Attendees cannot access your portal or streaming video.


Rehearsal

The event is in rehearsal:
  1. You can create your video stream and upload media.
  2. Attendees can register for your event (if enabled).
  3. Attendees cannot access your portal or streaming video.
  4. Presenters can login and rehearse.
Rehearsal mode can be stopped and your event will return to 'Scheduled'. Rehearsal mode can be started and stopped as many times as required.


Live

The event is live:
  1. You can create your video stream and upload media.
  2. Analytics are calculated.
  3. Your event recording starts.
  4. Attendees can register for your event (if enabled).
  5. Attendees can access your portal and streaming video.
  6. Presenters can login and present.
Once live an event cannot go back to rehearsal.

Complete

The event is complete:
  1. Attendees are logged out of the portal.
  2. Presenters are logged out of the presenter hub.
  3. You can download your event recording and statistics.
  4. On-demand mode can be activated for attendees to watch the recording.
