Attendee Troubleshooting

Below are some simple troubleshooting steps to help you access Joinin events.

Page not loading

  1. Use a compatible browser. We recommend Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Refresh the page.
  3. Try a different browser.
  4. Disconnect any VPN connections.
  5. If you are connecting from inside a corporate IT network please see this article for more information.
  6. Check your internet speed using Speedtest. Your connection must support at least 1Mpbs download for a reliable connection.
  7. Turn off other devices using bandwidth on your network.
  8. Check your device hardware settings for further issues.
Internet Explorer browser is not supported.


Cannot login

  1. Check your login credentials are correctly typed. Emails are not case sensitive, password (if needed) are case SenSITive.
  2. Make sure you’re not logged in on another device. You can only be logged in on one device at a time.
  3. Refresh the page.
  4. Try a different browser,

Cannot hear the video stream

  1. Make sure you have unmuted the live stream video by clicking the 'unmute' button in the top left of the video window.


  1. Make sure your device volume is unmuted and turned up. 
  2. Make sure the volume of the live stream video is turned up. The volume control is on the bottom left of the video window.



  1. Try playing a video on YouTube. If you cannot hear the YouTube video your device hardware is at fault.
  2. Check your device hardware settings for further issues.

Video stream not loading

  1. Check your internet speed using Speedtest. Your connection must support at least 1Mpbs download for a reliable connection.
  2. Turn off other devices using bandwidth on your network.
  3. Refresh the page.
  4. Try a different browser.
  5. Disconnect any VPN connections.
  6. If you are connecting from inside a corporate IT network please see this article for more information.
  7. Check your device hardware settings for further issues.
  8. Try a lower video quality setting. Click the 'cog' icon on the bottom right of the video window and select 'Low'
