Q&A

Q&A

Q&A is a two-way engagement tool that you can utilise during your live events. When enabled for an event, the Q&A engagement tool will appear in the side panel of the control interface. Your audience are then able to submit questions for response from the Attendee Portal.

Settings

Q&A can be configured for automatic or manual approval of questions. You can alter this setting in your event settings.
  1. Manual approval - questions are submitted by your audience and require moderation before they are visible to your audience.
  2. Automatic approval - questions are submitted by your audience and are immediately approved. They can be manually removed.

Moderate

Submitted questions can be moderated by clicking on the desired outcome.

Approved

  1. If "show approved" is enabled in your event settings, any approved questions will be visible to the attendees.
  2. If "allow attendee voting" is enabled in your event settings, any approved questions can be upvoted by the attendees.
  3. Approved questions are always visible to operators, assistants and presenters regardless of the "show approved" setting.

Removed

  1. Removed questions are not shown to attendees or presenters.
  2. Any replies to a removed question will not be visible.

Answered

  1. Indicates that the question was answered during your event presentation. The answered state enables old content to be moved out of the approved list and assists with post-event reporting.

Reply

Within the Control Panel you can respond to questions submitted by your audience. Your response will appear publicly below the question for all attendees and presenters to see.

Add reply

To answer a question, click the reply icon beside the question. You can add multiple replies to a single question.

Delete reply

Replies can be deleted by clicking the delete icon next to the reply.

Filter

You can filter the question list to show particular questions:
  1. Pending - questions that require action (approve, remove).
  2. Approved - questions marked as approved.
  3. Popular - questions ordered by popularity based on attendee voting. Only available if question upvoting is enabled in your event settings.
  4. Removed - questions marked as removed.
  5. Answered - questions marked as answered.

You can search for specific text within questions by clicking the magnifying glass beside the filter menu.
