Portal Features
Once logged in to your event portal, you will be presented with all the features allowing you to get involved with every of the live event, however these may vary as Joinin dynamically sizes according to different devices. We’ve split them into the two layouts below.
Desktop
Below is a demo view of the Joinin layout on a desktop computer showing the main video window & right hand engagement section.
Mobile
Below is a demo view of the Joinin layout on various mobile devices showing the main video window & the engagement section which sits below the video window.
The video window is where the events live video stream will be, this has independent volume control & you can click into full screen mode when needed.
The Info tab is home to all the event information that you require, each event is different so any extras that the event hosts want to put in can be available here such as Welcome blurbs, Agenda’s, Web links & Speaker Bio’s.
Further engagement options are available to the event organiser, depending on their choice there might be any or all of the following;
Chat
An open forum for attendees to communicate their messages of support for other attendees, speakers or members of the specific event community, generally this is un-moderated but some event organisers may choose to screen these messages for inappropriate content.
Q&A
A key part of most live events is question time, here you can submit all your queries for a chance to have them answered directly on the live stream or moderators have the ability to send you a direct answer for instant feedback. Depending on the event organisers setup, these questions may also be public to the other attendees and they will also have the ability to “up-vote” your questions or any other popular questions submitted by the audience.
Polling
Nothing gets a majority answer quicker than a poll and Joinin makes this super easy to setup and complete within the portal engagement section.
Hit the question mark icon to access help and hints or to contact the event organisers.
Hit the logout button to leave the portal, a modal will pop up to confirm the logout or an option to return to the event.
