Fallback media

Fallback media

Any image or video in the Studio media Library can be set as the fallback layer of your live stream. Fallback media is used in the event a source is not available or drops out unexpectedly and prevents the source going to an ugly black screen. For example:
  1. A presenter logs out whilst on screen.
  2. A presenter loses internet connectivity.
  3. A presenter is promoted to a live source but has not yet logged in.
  4. An External stream has not yet connected.
The fallback media is activated 5 seconds after the video connection is lost.

Set fallback source

  1. Open the Studio media library
  2. Choose the media you would like to set as the fallback source
  3. Click the dropdown menu for that media
  4. Select 'Set as fallback source'

The fallback media can be replaced by any other media but cannot be removed.
